Proud Mom June Masiutama Bernard from Hakupu stated, "people always told her, your son Courtenay is one handsome dude", and indeed the people are correct.
Courtenay also had a very proud, the late nana (Jane Masiutama) If she was here today, Jane would be the loudest person in the room, shouting, "Thats my Grandson".

Most of the family functions, Courtenay attends, he always stood out.
If its a costume wear he will dress up and present the character very well, otherwise he will do a cultural traditional dance and perfects it. Everything Courtenay did was to the best of his abillities, amazing young man who deserves to be recognized for his enthusiasm and passion for doing the things he loves. We are so proud to say that Courtenay is not only representing New Zealand, but a little Island called Niue, population, 1600.
Courtenays great great grandfather Joe Jackson was one of the first English settlers in Niue Island. Joe met a beautiful local Hakupu girl Falena, he married, and had 6 children. The eldest of those six children is Charles Rex, who married a beautiful girl from Avatele, Melepeki, and they had 14 children. Jane who is Courtenays grandmother, was the second eldest child.
What Courtney has achieved reminds me of a quote:
"Be the change you want to see in the world" -Mahatma Gandhi
We may sometimes be discouraged of the things we would like to achieve, but reading a story like Courtenays will certainly give us hope to make a difference in the world. We need a few more Courtenays to inspire our Niuean people, to make a difference, or to change the world, it starts with you.
A very happy Courtenay, who is a natural entertainer on stage, and a professional singer on Cruise Ship, looking foward to the New York, June 2012, world title.

Courtenay 27, from Ranui, West Auckland, NZ one of the rare breeds of Niuean's facing the global challenge, and will no doubt be a very strong contestant for the Top Price, Mr World.
